Best SUV Lease Deals October 2026: Mazda CX-90 PHEV

The 2026 Mazda CX-90 PHEV is the best SUV lease deal in October 2026 at 0.94% LVR, $389 a month with $2,999 due at signing. The Hyundai IONIQ 9 is one hundredth of a point behind at 0.95%, and they’re the only two of the 107 SUVs we track rated Good.
Mazda rebuilt its whole SUV lineup around lower cash at signing this month, and the two plug-in hybrids gained the most. The new Jeep Grand Cherokee is the best gas SUV at 1.01%. The field grew to 107 deals from 76, while Lincoln has no SUV lease offers this month.
We ranked every advertised SUV lease offer this month by Lease Value Ratio: your monthly payment plus due at signing spread evenly across the term, divided by the sticker price.

- The tracked field grew to 107 SUV deals from 76, and 20 of them land in walk-away territory above 1.50%
Best SUV lease deals right now
Top 10 SUV picks for October 2026, ranked by Lease Value Ratio.
The CX-90 PHEV is the best SUV lease in October 2026 at 0.94%. Mazda cut the due at signing from $9,109 to $2,999 and raised the payment $90 to $389.
That moved it from 1.09% to first place. A three-row plug-in hybrid on a $50,495 sticker for $472 a month in true cost is hard to beat.
The IONIQ 9 led SUVs in September and slips to second by one hundredth of a point. Hyundai raised the payment $20 to $419, and the ratio went from 0.91% to 0.95%.
It’s still rated Good and still the best fully electric SUV lease we track.
The Grand Cherokee is new to our list and goes straight to third at 1.01%. That makes it the best gas SUV lease this month, ahead of every gas model we tracked in September.
Jeep asks $399 a month with $2,979 at signing over 42 months. The long term spreads the upfront cash thin, so plan to keep it three and a half years.
The 2027 Land Cruiser is new this month at 1.01%, $449 a month with $4,999 at signing on a $58,180 SUV.
It’s a hybrid, since every current Land Cruiser uses Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX powertrain. It ties the Grand Cherokee on ratio.
The Sportage Plug-in Hybrid holds 1.04% on unchanged terms, $309 a month with $3,999 at signing.
It’s the cheapest payment in this top ten and the best value of any SUV under $41,000 sticker.
The EV9 slipped from 1.00% to 1.05% after Kia raised the due at signing from $3,999 to $4,999. The $439 payment didn’t change.
It’s the second three-row electric SUV in this top ten, behind the IONIQ 9.
Mazda gave the CX-70 PHEV the same treatment as the CX-90 PHEV. The payment rose to $357 and the due at signing fell from $7,919 to $3,999, on a 36-month term.
The ratio improved slightly, from 1.08% to 1.06%, and you need about half the cash up front.
The Tucson Plug-in Hybrid carries September’s $329 payment and $3,999 at signing.
A higher listed sticker of $40,675 nudged the ratio from 1.10% to 1.08%.
The Ascent was September’s best gas SUV lease and still costs the same, $335 a month with $4,434 at signing.
Its listed sticker rose to $42,245, which moved the ratio from 1.12% to 1.08%. It’s the best gas three-row in the top ten.
The gas 4Runner is new to our list at 1.08%, $319 a month with $4,999 at signing on a $42,270 sticker.
It’s the third gas SUV in this top ten and $170 a month cheaper than the hybrid 4Runner i-FORCE MAX.

SUV deals we evaluated but did not recommend
Notable SUV offers that did not make the cut this month
- 2026 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (ratio: 1.95%) The worst SUV lease we track for another month. $427 a month with $4,426 at signing on a $27,655 crossover works out to $540 in true monthly cost.
- 2026 Ford Expedition (ratio: 1.83%) It got worse again. Ford cut the due at signing to $5,299 but raised the payment $100 to $999, and the ratio went from 1.77% to 1.83%.
- 2026 GMC Yukon XL (ratio: 1.73%) New to the list, with $10,489 due at signing, the largest upfront figure of any SUV we track. Add $959 a month on a $72,200 sticker and it’s walk-away territory.
- 2027 Nissan Kicks (ratio: 1.73%) $309 a month with $3,049 at signing on a $22,790 sticker. One of the cheapest SUVs on the page by sticker and one of the worst by value.
- 2026 Chevrolet Trax (ratio: 1.69%) $299 a month looks affordable until you spread $2,969 at signing across a 24-month term. True cost is $423 on a $24,995 crossover.
How to evaluate any SUV lease deal
The 30-second deal check
The monthly payment on its own tells you very little. A $219 offer on a $25,500 Hyundai and a $389 offer on a $50,495 Mazda can’t be compared until you fold in the cash due at signing and the sticker price.
Take your monthly payment, add the amount due at signing divided by the number of months, then divide by the sticker price and multiply by 100.
Value ratio = adjusted monthly / sticker x 100
Real example from this list: the Hyundai Kona advertises $219 a month, the lowest payment of any SUV this month.
Add $3,999 / 36 months = $111.
True comparison cost is $330 per month on a $25,500 SUV.
Ratio is 1.29%.
The Mazda CX-90 PHEV at $389 + ($2,999 / 36) = $472 on a $50,495 sticker comes to 0.94%.
The higher advertised payment is the better deal.

What makes a good SUV lease deal in 2026?
There are four things that determine whether an SUV lease is genuinely good value or just looks good in the advertisement.
1. The Lease Value Ratio. This is the number we rank every deal by. Divide your true monthly cost, meaning payment plus due at signing spread across the term, by the sticker price. In October 2026, two of the 107 tracked SUV deals reach Good tier under 1.00%, up from one in September.
2. The amount due at signing. Mazda is this month’s lesson in how much upfront cash matters. It cut the due at signing on every SUV it advertises to $3,999 or less and raised every payment. The CX-90 PHEV went from $299 a month with $9,109 down to $389 with $2,999, and its ratio improved from 1.09% to 0.94%. The gas CX-90 went the other way, from 1.16% to 1.23%.
3. The lease term. A short term spreads the upfront amount across fewer months, raising the effective comparison cost. The ratio normalizes this automatically, which is why we use it instead of sorting by payment. The 42-month Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 36-month Toyota Land Cruiser land on the same 1.01% despite different structures.
4. Whether the deal is electrified. Seven of this month’s top ten are electric, plug-in hybrid or hybrid, down from eight in September, as new gas offers from Jeep and Toyota arrived.
