• Rear Track Width for Estimated Cargo Width:

  Rear track width measures the distance between the centerline of the two wheels. This gives you an idea of the overall width of the cargo area.

• Head Room for Estimated Cargo Height:

  The headroom measures the distance from the bottom of the seat to the roof. This is more accurate for SUVs and minivans. This gives you an idea of the interior height of the car.

• Wheelbase for Estimated Cargo Length:

  Length is the hardest metric to estimate since there are different measurements with the seats up versus down. The wheelbase measures the distance between the center of the front and rear wheels. Again, this is more accurate for SUVs and minivans.
